UCAN-Learn.Work.Live is an innovative, training service aimed at helping individuals who have been disadvantaged and/or excluded from education and the employment market as well as those who are keen to make changes in their lives and move towards greater independence.

We offer a service that reflects a belief that the key to success is being equipped with the right ‘life tools’.  Therefore, all our programmes aim to promote both the independence and employability of the individuals who attend.

At UCAN we aim to provide a contextualised learning environment with work experience opportunities both with local employers but importantly in our own enterprise initiatives and, where possible, successful participants will gain employment within these. Therefore, we also aim to provide real outcomes for people by giving them the chance to participate in experiences that have previously been inaccessible to them.

Ultimately, we see trainees that attend our centre as our partners.  It is important that we form close working relationships to enable us to help us support their individual outcomes and targets.  However, it is equally important that they help shape our outcomes and targets.
