Facilities: Training Kitchen
Ucan’s Kitchen, like any good party, is the social hub of the building.
It provides a key training role for Ucan. Trainees within this area gain the opportunity to develop key hospitality and kitchen skills both cooking for themselves and importantly by being involved in the delivery of a lunch service.
Significantly, with regard to this latter opportunity, trainees can gain a wide range of recognised hospitality and food hygiene qualifications fit for any CV. In addition, they can include a real experience of cooking and serving for large numbers of people.
